Nuevo León Government

Lic. Rodrigo Medina de la Cruz, Governor of the State of Nuevo León for the term 2009-2015, was born in Monterrey on September 9, 1972.
He studied Judicial Science at Universidad Regiomontana and a Master’s Degree on International Corporate Law at the University of Miami.
He worked in Secretaria de Gobernación and was a delegate for the National Institute of Migration. He was then elected Federal Deputy for the LX Legislature, where he presided over the Commission of Public Safety.
In Nuevo Leon, he was Subsecretary of Citizen Issues and Religious Issues, Technical Secretary for the Intelligence and Safety Committee, then General Government Secretary.
His purpose is to lead a transparent government, close to the people’s needs, emphasizing on dialogue and inclusion for creating the conditions necessary to live in peace and wellbeing.
