They have been associated to kidnappings, extortions, murders, tortures and the liberation of prisoners throughout the country.

Luis Barragán was born in 1902 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He was one of the most important architects of the 20th century and the only Mexican to earn the Pritzker Award.


Pancho Villa
Pancho Villa, an icon of the Mexican Revolution, was born in 1878. Baptized as Doroteo Arango, he suffered a peasant’s life and witnessed how the rich landowners amassed great fortunes by exploiting workers.


Emiliano Zapata
Of rural mestizo origin, he was a revolutionary leader dedicated to defending the people’s rights, “the land belongs to its workers”.
