Sonora Government

Lic. Guillermo Padres Elías, Constitutional Governor of the State of Sonora and member of Partido Accion Nacional (PAN), was born on June 29, 1969. He has a Law Degree and is Technician on Bovine Insemination with a Graduate Degree on Puglid Policies from ITAM.

Distinguished businessman, he was Vice-President and President of the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) of Cananea and Treasurer of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Sonora.

Federal Deputy during the LVIII Legislature (2000-2003), he participated in the Vigilance Commissions of the Treasury, Cooperative Development, Livestock and Social Economy.

He was Local Deputy and Senator for Congress and is now Governor of Sonora for the term 2009-2015.
