Dr. Marco Antonio Adame Castillo, Constitutional Governor of the State of Morelos, was born on December 6, 1960 in Cuernavaca, Morelos.

He graduated as Surgeon Doctor from Universidad del Estado de Morelos. He was granted a graduate degree on Human Development from Universidad La Salle and an MBA majoring on High Management at ITESM, graduating with honors.

In 1994 he was named Citizen Counsel for the Election Commission of de State of Morelos and also, by the initiative of the State Legislature, he was invited to become part of the newly appointed Human Rights Commission of the State as Counselor.

In 1997, Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) chose him to compete for the post of Federal Deputy and was part of the LVII Legislature of the Deputy chamber of Congress, performing an important role as Vice President of the Congress Board of Directors and the Health Commission.

In 2000 he was Senator for the state and on July 2, 2006 he was named Governor for the 2006-2012 term. Working alongside the citizens for contributing to forge a generous, competitive and solidarity state that provides opportunities for a better life.
