SPORT FISHING Fishing is the main activity in Loreto. The great amount of species found in its waters like, the dorado, jurel, marlin, cabrilla, red pargo, sierra, yellowfin tuna and Wahoo attracts hundred of fishing lovers.
BEACHES AND ISLANDS The beautiful beaches and islands of Loreto offer a place to rest from daily routine and the opportunity to admire little wonders of nature while you have a drink or watch the sunset. Some of the most visited beaches are Juncalito, Ensenada Blanca and Ligui: the Coronado Islands, Carmen, Montserrat, Catalina and Danzantes are also famous for their beautiful beaches, particularly the island of Catalana for its flora and fauna variety.
There are also lots of aquatic activities such as snorkeling, windsurfing and relaxing walks.
SAN FRANSISCO SIERRA: STONE ART The stone paintings found in the caves situated around the San Francisco Sierra and the Guadalupe Sierra in the El Vizcaino Desert, constitute one of the most important historical markers of its kind in the world.
The visitor that wishes to live part of this experience should hire a guide designated by the National Institute of Anthropology and History, in charge of the conservation and protection of the declared Legado Historico de la Humanidad by the UNESCO in 1993.
