Chapultepec County Fair in Mexico and its Attractions

Thanks to its incredible attractions and the reasonable prices it handles at the entrance to its facilities, this has become a favorite place for the people in México City to visit on weekends or holidays. If traveling by public transportation, it is best to take the Metro to either the station Chapultepec or Constituyentes, and then take a bus to the site.

For many years, the Fair was known for having the only roller coaster in the capital, and even though this has been changing throughout the generations, it is an ideal place for young adults, children, and those who want to experience emotions and fun for the whole family. The amusement park re-opened its doors after a sale’s process that remodeled it in 1994, and constantly updates its rides and attractions or temporary exhibitions.

In this way, it has presented shows of divers, whales or games, among others. It also includes the classic area of skill games and food and snack courts at a price that, for a place that offers these features, is not expensive. Some of the attractions found in this amusement park are the classic ones in all the fairs, as Uncle Twisty's Cabin (because it does not matter where, Uncle Twisty always has a home in these parks!) which is an attraction where you can see unusual things based on your location in the ride. The trunk (where one falls on a cart by a waterfall), the Nao de China (which goes around 360 degrees), and others such as The House of Terror, The House of Mirrors, and The Wheel of Fortune.

It is appropriate to note that the hallmark of the Fair (its roller coaster) is completely manufactured and assembled in México and has been the scenario of television programs and some contests. However, and although it represents one of the biggest attractions of the place, it also has a major disadvantage: the long lines. So, if we make the bold attempt to visit the facilities during vacation time or on a special weekend, the wait can become eternal to board the games!

Leaving that aside, the fair is a pretty fun place to attend with your family or significant other, and even offers special rates for groups.

Its website is: http://www.feriachapultepec.com/index.php Here you can find almost all information about the Fair as well as the weather forecast to find out if it is convenient to visit.

And you must remember that if you plan the visit or you have some spare time, you can also visit the Electricity Museum which is very close from the fair grounds. This is a very fun place that offers interactive entertaining as well as the Papalote Museo del Niño). So, if you plan your day well, you can visit several fun places and kill 3 birds with one stone!
