Being perhaps the most well-known shopping mall in the city, it is located on Boulevard Kukulcan´s strip. Its original architecture is what really makes this shopping mall a well-known spot and makes it outstand from the rest. Located near the Hyatt, Royal Sunset, Le Blanc and NH Krystal Hotels, this mall is one of the most visited in the city.

The main attraction on this mall are the many clubs and restaurants where you can enjoy a really good time. On its first floor, you can find the world famous Coco Bongo, a club that you can’t miss if you are up to some dancing, enjoying some exotic drinks, and watching the midnight show. The next day you can visit the Hard Rock Café, and listen to the live performing bands that play each weekend; the large amount of memorabilia from American and British rock and roll legends is a major attraction of this huge spot.

Las Americas Plaza

Conveniently located downtown, this mall is really huge; and even though is not considered a highly luxurious place, it has tremendously popular options. Let’s say that is the last part of your trip and you just want to save some bucks and have a delicious dinner before going to the club, you can have your fix at McDonalds, Burger King or Pizza Hut, so you’ll just pay for the drinks later at the club.

Or maybe that summer movie you were craving so much back home went out while you are on vacations, why would you miss it? You can enjoy it here, at the local Cinépolis, with 3D and VIP amenities. Go shopping something chic from the Inditex group, with stores ranging from Zara, Bershka to Lob, amongst others.

Are you short of cash on the last part of your trip? You can try to recover some dollars on the Recórcholis and Yak racing-betting centers. If your hotel room is equipped with a kitchen, and you are up to cook a special dinner, you can buy everything you need at Chedraui, a Mexican shopping mart were you can find everything you need at great prices.

Flamingo Plaza Mall

The Flamingo Mall is an artisan-gastronomic oriented place, located conveniently on the central part of the hotel zone. Being on the heart of the tourist zone on Cancun, this mall offers a great variety of products and services, local and international, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Here you can find many amenities and services for every budget.

Among its more than 12 artisan boutiques, not only the typical artisan-made products are available, but you can find pieces from nearby states, such as Chiapas and Guerrero as well. Among some of them is the finger-painted works on seashells and corals.

Amongst the restaurants that you can find here is the Pat O’Brians and the Bubba Gump, both American seafood restaurants. Mexican options include the nationally known Sanborn´s Café and “La Panza es Primero” a gourmet Mexican restaurant. If you are tired of seafood, you can enjoy some meat at the Outback Steakhouse.

The plaza works as a constantly changing place for art display. Beside the stores, one great advantage of this spot is that on the exterior hall by the east side of the building, you can enjoy the lovely view of a sunset at the Nichupte Lagoon.
